I still like the colours in these designs … they remind me of antique quilts.
Love the second design.

The fabrics I used in this project file are based on reproduction fabrics, which of course were fabrics based on fabrics used in historical quilts. The pieced blocks are ones I had sketched on graph paper long before I got Electric Quilt 5. The applique blocks include some based on EQ Block Library designs, with a few modifications.
I like the first design, but the second design is my favourite today.

Love the first design, though the colours may not look like autumn colours to many of you around the world, but here in Australia our autumn colours are usually dusty, unless we get some early rain.
The blue in the second design isn’t from any flowers, it is the clear skies when we are hoping for that opening rain.

I like the second one too, for the same reasons, but like it more than the first because there is applique!

I like it! I have never been a fan of quilts made with one block design repeated all over.
I much prefer to break the monotony of stitching up a great pile of identical blocks, and I like seeing the interest just a few different blocks added to the quilt top make.
I love the second design!

Two designs from one of my favourite project files today.
Not too sure about the blue … partly because it is not my favourite colour … but I think it would look better with more blues amongst the border scraps.

Love the first design today. Some piecing, some intricate, some simple applique, scrappy border, and, of course, quilting!
Love the outer border of the second design.
Love the last design too.

Autumn has arrived down under, along with some dust storms, rain, power failures and cool days in the last week. Keeps life interesting!
The power failure here was a whole afternoon of no sewing, and no gardening as it was raining. I did read quite a bit of a thick book played with quilt designs, and did some sewing after dark to make up for the lost time. Wonder what this week will bring?
Love the second one!

Like the first offering for today … could be just a general quilt, with just enough of the Christmas colours to be seasonal.
Mind you, in Australia we rarely need a quilt during the Christmas break, which is why I have a Christmas quilt with no wadding!
Change the background colour, add a little more red, and it is a little more like Christmas!
I love this last one!

Some of us are living through autumn, some of us are heading into summer, but I like these series of designs regardless of the season.
